GFA President Kurt Okraku arrives in Takoradi to hold discussions with Western RFA

The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Edwin Simeon-Okraku, arrived in Takoradi on Thursday, August 15, 2024, for a one-day working visit, where he is set to hold a meeting with the leadership of the Western Regional Football Association (WRFA).

The President was met on arrival at the Takoradi Airport by the Western Regional Football Association Chairman, Simon Ehomah,  and some members of his Executive Council.

The meeting with the leadership of the WRFA will focus on issues pertaining to the development of football in the region and the plans, programmes and policies being implemented by the WRFA. It will also address thorny issues confronting the leadership of the Western Regional Football Association.

President Edwin Simeon-Okraku will underline the GFA’s strong commitment to supporting the Western Region as he continues his tour of the regions to better familiarise himself with the progress of work at the Regional Football Association level.

The visit follows a similar trip to the Brong Ahafo Regional capital, Sunyani, on August 10, 2024, where he held stakeholder engagements with the leadership of the Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association (BARFA) and representatives of Premier, Women and Division One League Clubs based in the region.

The President was accompanied by Executive Council member, Samuel Aboabire, Head of Public Relations and Strategy, Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe and Regional Football Associations (RFAs) Coordinator, Daasebre Adu-Asare.

President Simeon-Okraku has already visited the leadership of the Regional Football Associations of the Ashanti, Greater Accra, Central and Brong Ahafo Football Regions.
