CAF 2nd Vice-President and Ghana FA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has held strategic talks with senior officials of the United States Chamber of Commerce as preparations intensify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The high-level meeting took place in Washington, D.C., where discussions focused on strengthening partnerships ahead of the tournament to be co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Simeon-Okraku met Rick C. Wade, Senior Vice President for Strategic Alliances and Outreach, alongside Dr. Guevera Yao of the U.S.–Africa Business Center.

The engagement explored opportunities in institutional collaboration, commercial partnerships, logistics support and fan engagement for Ghana’s World Cup campaign.

It also examined how the global tournament could be leveraged to expand Ghana’s economic and cultural presence across North America.

The talks form part of a wider diplomatic and commercial outreach by the GFA President during his visit to the United States.

The Football Association believes such alliances are vital to delivering a smooth and impactful World Cup experience for the Black Stars and their supporters.

Ghana have been drawn in Group L, where they will face Panama in Toronto, England in Boston, and Croatia in Philadelphia.
