Ghana Football Association President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has officially resigned from his position as President of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B.
His resignation follows his recent appointment as the 2nd Vice-President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Balancing his new CAF role alongside his existing duties at the GFA made it challenging to manage all responsibilities effectively.
To ensure that each position receives the necessary attention, Okraku made the considered decision to step down from his WAFU leadership role.
Under his tenure, WAFU Zone B achieved significant progress, including the relocation of its headquarters and a stronger focus on collaboration among member countries.
Okraku expressed his appreciation to the WAFU team for their dedication and reiterated his continued support for the union, despite no longer serving as its president.
