The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved the 2025/26 Omnibus Competitions Calendar, confirming the season will run from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026 ; strategically designed to end before the 2026 FIFA World Cup begins on June 11.

Key highlights include:

  • Ghana Premier League: Sunday fixtures with midweek options for postponed matches.
  • Division One & Women’s Premier League: Maintain traditional Sunday matchdays.
  • MTN FA Cup: Mostly weekend games, with select early-round ties midweek.
  • Women’s FA Cup: Weekend-only schedule.
  • eTrophy (eFootball), Beach Soccer & Futsal Leagues: All returning as part of GFA’s broader competition structure.

Regional leagues (Division Two, Three, Colts, Women’s Division One) kick off by October 1 and end by May 31, 2026. The GFA also confirmed a nationwide rollout of Girls Colts U15 & U17 leagues, backed by FIFA.

The calendar allows space for off-season youth tournaments including the Elite U15/U19 Championships and KGL U17 Colts.

The GFA says the calendar provides clarity and preparation time for all stakeholders, as the country gears up for a packed and competitive season.
