The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has outlined strict timelines and new professionalism standards for the 2025/26 season.
All Regional Second Division Leagues must begin before the end of October 2025, while all RFA-administered competitions must start early to ensure they finish on time.
The Ghana Premier League (GPL), Women’s Premier League (WPL), and Division One League (DOL) will also align their calendars to ensure they conclude before the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 11.
“This initiative allows clubs to connect directly with their supporters and the media, helping to build stronger and more marketable brands,” Okraku said.
To improve branding and media visibility, the FA will enforce mandatory pre- and post-match press conferences for all matches across the GPL, DOL, and WPL.
