Communication Director of the Ghana Football Association Henry Asante Twum says his outfit bears the cost of night football played in the Ghana Premier League.
According to him, the FA spends over Gh₵8,000 per night because the stadia are no more on the national grid and therefore not funded by government.
This is on the back of the disconnection by the Electricity Company of Ghana at the Accra Sports Stadium for owing a debt to the tune of GH¢508,000.00.
“The GFA absorbs all the expenses of night football and it cost us over Gh₵8,000 per game because we don’t depend on the National Grid so we use generators,” Henry told Kumasi FM.
