The Ghana Education Service (GES) has commended President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku and the leadership of the Football Association for the significant role its played in supporting the U-15 athletes (Boys and Girls) during the WAFU B African Schools Football Championship held in Niger last month.
In a letter addressed to the President and signed by Director of Physical Education and Sports, Michael Ntow Ayeh, GES expressed gratitude to the leadership of the FA for the unwavering support, which culminated in the success story of both the Boys and Girls teams.
“It is with immense pride and heartfelt gratitude that we acknowledged the pivotal role you and your Management have played in supporting our U-15 athletes during the WAFU Zone B Tournament held in Niger,” a letter signed by GES PE and Sports Director, Michael Ntow Ayeh read.
“Under your visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to youth development in football, our young athletes were equipped to excel and showcase their immense potential. Your support ensured that they had the resources, motivation, and confidence to perform at their best, culminating in the girls’ team securing an outstanding first-placed position and the boys’ team achieving a commendable third-place finish.
“These achievements are not just victories on the pitch but a testament to the power of investment in the next generation of footballers. They embody the hope and promise of Ghanaian football.”
The acknowledgement further reads: “On behalf of the athletes (students) and the coaches (teachers), we express our deepest appreciation for your dedication and encouragement. Your support inspires us all to aim higher and strive for excellence. Thank you for championing the dreams of these young stars and for your continued efforts to propel Ghana football to greater heights.”
