German top-flight side Bochum have opened talks to sign Black Stars goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi from Swiss club St Gallen.
Initial meetings have taken place to get both parties to reach a deal.
Bochum’s coach (Zeidler) previously worked with Zigi at Liefering, Sochaux and St Gallen, making a deal feasible for both parties.
Ati Zigi was a constant feature throughout the season for Gallen, playing 37 league games and keeping 6 clean sheets in the process.
Bochum, who were involved in a thrilling Bundesliga playoffs against Dusseldlord, managed to maintain their top-flight status for the upcoming season after overturning a 3-0 first leg deficit
Zigi is viewed as an experienced keeper who offers the team much defensive solidarity and a perfect fit for coach Zeidler.
Talks between both clubs are expected to intensify in the coming weeks, as Bochum look to solve their defensive woes; one that saw the team
conceed the second most goals (74) in the 23/24 Bundesliga season.
