German-born Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Kyerewaa has joined Reading FC.

The 23-year-old signed a two-year deal to join The Royals from German lower-tier side SC Preußen Münster

The former Schalke O4 and Fortuna Dusseldorf attacking midfielder is expected to play a key role at the club as Reading eye a return to the English Championship.

He joined up with the first-team squad at Bearwood and will be eligible to feature in our upcoming fixtures, subject to the receipt of international clearance, a UK visa, and the necessary documents by the football authorities.

Reading manager Noel Hunt praised the qualities of their latest acquisition and believes he is a right fit for the club.

“Daniel is a really exciting addition to our group. He’s got a great engine, he’s creative, and he’s played in a strong development environment in Germany. We believe he’s got the tools and the drive to make a big impact here,” he said.

Reading FC will play Oxford United and Portsmouth in pre-season friendlies.
