Former Black Stars assistant coach George Boateng is feel ecstatic after landing a managerial role with EFL Championship side Coventry City

The 48 year old has been named as the first team coach of Coventry City ahead of the 2024/2025 football season

Boateng will work alongside Rhys Carr and Aled Williams to take the team to another level.

“I’m thrilled to announce my return to my first love in English football, Coventry City FC! From 1998 to 2024, it’s an honor to come back and work alongside Mark Robins and the entire staff. I want to express my gratitude to Coventry City FC for this incredible opportunity,” George posted on social media.

George is not just new to the Coventry City as he previously played for them from 1998 to 1999 after joining the club from Dutch side Feyenoord.

He featured 57 times in all competitions and scored seven goals.
