Generally we had a good game against RTU – Slavko Matic

Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak Slavko Matic says despite their defeat to Real Tamale United in their matchweek 16 fixture at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium the team played well.

The Tamale-based side secured an impressive 1-0 win over the Phobians on Sunday. Ex-Hearts of Oak midfielder Umar Manaf scored a stunner as the home side secured all three points.

In a post-match interview, coach Matic stated that they missed a lot of chances they created in the encounter.

“When you don’t score three times, one against one with goalkeeper, second half from two meters other chances you didn’t score. Generally, it was a good game lots of running lots of intensity, transitions we tried to keep the ball we created lot of chances today lot of chances,” he said.

“We didn’t score then we go down and it wasn’t easy to come back but we continue to create more chance to create more goals opportunity for goal. And you saw the goal it was an unbelievable goal this pitch we struggled it is a little different from Accra,”
