Futsal National Team records 5-4 win over Raja Casablanca in a friendly

In preparations for the Futsal African Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Futsal National Team staged an impressive comeback to win 5-4 over Raja Casablanca at the Salle Couverte Ibn Khaldoun in a friendly on Saturday.

Down by 2-0 at the end of the first half, Coach Philip Boakye’s boys played above themselves to overtake their experienced opponents in the game in the second half.

Prince Arthur pulled one back for Ghana moments after the break but Raja Casablanca scored again to take the score line to 3-1.

Just as Ghana was pushing hard to reduce the tally, Raja Casablanca increased their lead with another strike.

The fighting spirit of the Futsal national team was put to the test once again as Saviour Tsatsu scored from the spot to take the score to 4-2.

Emmanuel Pako brilliantly converted another spot kick to give Ghana hopes of a great comeback.

Moments after scoring from the spot, Pako fired home a beautiful strike to restore parity for Ghana before Tsatsu sealed the win with a late strike.

The 5-4 win is expected to motivate the team ahead of the kick-off of the Futsal AFCON.

Ghana will be in Group A with Angola, Zambia and hosts Morocco.
