Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini made his UEFA Champions League debut for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, as a second-half substitute in their 2-0 away loss to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
Fuseini, 23, entered the match in the 66th minute, replacing teammate Koki Machida, and played for a total of 24 minutes.
This milestone marks a significant step in Fuseini’s career, having previously only featured in the competition’s qualifying rounds.
Fuseini’s debut comes after recovering from an ankle injury suffered in September 2025, which kept him sidelined for approximately five months.
He had just made his return to the squad in a Belgian Cup match against FCV Dender EH on January 14, followed by a league appearance against KV Mechelen.
