Fulham to close €20 million+ midfield signing over the coming days

Premier League returnees Fulham are, according to reports, set to announce an impressive piece of business on the transfer front this weekend.

The player on the verge of a move to Craven Cottage with a view to next season? Joao Palhinha.

The info comes courtesy of Portuguese transfer expert Pedro Sepulveda, who has revealed that the capital outfit are primed to add highly-regarded midfielder Palhinha to Marco Silva’s ranks.

An agreement on the terms of a deal worth €20 million plus add-ons is understood to have been reached between the respective boards at Fulham and Sporting CP.

Palhinha, in turn, is primed to fly out to London on Saturday, to undergo medical tests ahead of becoming Fulham’s latest addition.

Pereira next up?

Elsewhere on the Cottagers front, clarification on the future of another midfielder tipped to link up with Marco Silva’s squad this summer has too been provided on Friday.

As confirmed by Flamengo, the Brazilian giants have opted against making the signing of Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira permanent.

The 26-year-old, though, could well be swiftly moved on to Fulham, amid rumours of a €13 million proposal being tabled by the transfer team at Craven Cottage earlier this week.
