Would-be Ghana international Emmanuel Frimpong is shocked at the exclusion of Alexander Song from the PFA Player of the Year Award.
The name of the Cameroonian enforcer who has impressed for Arsenal was conspicuously missing from the Professional Footballers’ Association nomination.
The 20-year-old who is recuperating from an injury was unhappy with his team-mate’s exclusion and took a swipe at the inclusion of Tottenham’s Scot Parker.
“I am sorry but this is utter nonsense. How is Scot Parker chosen ahead of Alex Song for PFA Player of the Year,†he tweeted.
“How Song wishes he was English.
“Scot Parker is a good player, yes agreed. But overall Song is better, scores more, creates more, better passing etc,â€
Frimpong is awaiting Fifa’s ruling on his nationality switch to play for the Black Stars.
