Frimpong and Hudson-Odoi recover from illness to play in Leverkusen’s win against Moenchengladbach

Defender Jeremie Frimpong and Winger Callum Hudson-Odoi returned to action against Borussia Moenchengladbach after recovering from illness.

Bayer Leverkusen beat Borussia Moenchengladbach 3-2 on Sunday at the Borussia Park. Coach Xabi Alonso’s team celebrated their fourth win in a row. Leverkusen is ninth on the table and is gradually targeting European places.

Mitchel Bakker in the 21st, Amine Adli in the 43rd, and Nadiem Amiri in the 67th minute scored for Bayer Leverkusen.

Captain Lars Stindl in the 82nd and 90+3 minute reduced the deficit for the hosts.

Jeremie Frimpong started the game and was substituted in the 90+2 minute. He had 45 touches and made one key pass for his team.

Callum Hudson-Odoi on loan from Premier League outfit Chelsea did not start the game, he came on in the 75th minute to replace Amine Adli.

Bayer Leverkusen will play Christopher Antwi-Adjei’s VfL Bochum in their next game in the Bundesliga.
