Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare has sealed a move to Durban City FC in South Africa, signing a two-year deal with an option for two more.

The 26-year-old makes the switch after running down his contract with the Porcupine Warriors, where he won the 2025 MTN FA Cup and earned a Black Stars call-up during his time at the club.

Asare is expected to bring experience and quality to Durban City as he begins a fresh chapter in the Betway Premiership, one of Africa’s top leagues.
