Frank Etouga is a good striker but it’s too early to compare him to Ishmael Addo – Joe Hendricks

Former Asante Kotoko captain, Joe Hendricks has noted that it is too early to compare top striker Frank Mbella Etouga with Ghana Premier League legend Ishmael Addo.

The Cameroonian striker joined the Porcupine Warriors before the start of last season.

Since playing his first match, Frank Mbella Etouga has been unstoppable and currently leads the goal king chart with 21 goals.

As a result of his outstanding displays, Frank Mbella Etouga is being compared to Hearts of Oak great Ismael Addo.

Speaking to Accra-based Angel FM, Joe Hendricks who is a former player for Asante Kotoko says that the comparison is flawed.

“Mbella is a good striker but he’s yet to meet quality defenders on the content. It’s too early to compare him to Ishmael Addo who was consistent for Hearts of Oak for more than six seasons,” Joe Hendricks said.

With two matches left to play in the Ghana Premier League, Frank Mbella is tipped to break Ishmael Addo’s longstanding record of 24 goals in the Ghana Premier League.
