Ligue 1 club Toulouse are close to finalizing the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Francis Abu from Belgian side Cercle Brugge.
The French outfit has been engaged in advanced talks with Cercle Brugge to secure the 24-year-old midfielder, edging out competition from Premier League side Burnley and Italian clubs Torino and Genoa.
Turkish teams Basaksehir FK and Trabzonspor also showed interest, but Toulouse appear set to complete the deal soon.
Abu joined Cercle Brugge in 2022 and has since become a key player in their Belgian Pro League squad.
Wearing the number 21 jersey, the midfielder has amassed over 60 league appearances and contributed 8 goal involvements, including 1 goal and 7 assists.
