Former France youth international Dennis Appiah says he is ready to switch allegiance and play for Ghana as a senior international.
The 22-year-old Caen player was born in Toulouse to Ghanaian parents but has represented Les Blues at the U17 and U20 levels.
But the right back has told RFI’s David Kalfa he would consider a nationality switch to play for the Black Stars in future.
Kalfa mentioned GHANASoccernet.com in a Twitter post on Monday: “French defender from Caen Dennis #Appiah said to RFI he would consider playing for #Ghana if @ghanafaofficial calls him 1day @Ghanasoccernet.”
Appiah started his football career at Monaco but never had the opportunity to play for the first team.
He later joined Caen in 2013 where he has made 17 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
