Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, has unveiled a 23-man squad for the upcoming Unity Cup 2025, highlighting the inclusion of four exceptional talents from the Ghana Premier League.
These home-based players; Benjamin Asare (Hearts of Oak), Kamaradini Mamudu (Medeama SC), Razak Simpson (Nations FC), and Kwame Opoku (Asante Kotoko) have earned their maiden senior national team call-ups, reflecting their outstanding performances in the domestic league.
The Unity Cup, scheduled from May 28 to May 30 at the GTECH Community Stadium in London, features a round-robin format with Ghana set to face Nigeria, Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica.
This tournament serves as a preparatory platform ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September and October.
Kamaradini Mamudu (Right-Back, Medeama SC)

Razak Simpson (Centre-Back, Nations FC)

He has scored four goals in the 2024/25 season, including a remarkable long-range effort that secured a historic victory over Hearts of Oak. His leadership and composure at the back have been pivotal for his club’s impressive campaign.
Kwame Opoku (Forward, Asante Kotoko)
Returning to Asante Kotoko in December 2024 after spells in Algeria and Morocco, Opoku has quickly reestablished himself as a formidable striker.
He has scored six goals in seven league appearances, including a brace in a 4-1 triumph over Vision FC. His clinical finishing and experience make him a valuable asset for the Black Stars’ attacking options.
Benjamin Asare (Goalkeeper, Hearts of Oak)
Benjamin Asare has been a standout performer for Hearts of Oak during the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season. In 21 appearances across all competitions, he has kept an impressive 15 clean sheets, conceding just eight goals.
His remarkable form includes a run of nine consecutive matches with only one goal conceded, showcasing his consistency and reliability between the posts
