Ghanaian forward Kwasi Wriedt delivered an impressive performance for Sanliurfaspor, scoring and providing an assist in their emphatic 4-1 victory over Yeni Malatyaspor in the Turkish League 2.
Sanliurfaspor dominated the game from the start, with Zach Muscat opening the scoring in the 7th minute at the Yeni Malatya Stadium.
Uchenna Ogundu doubled the lead in the 22nd minute before Wriedt added his name to the scoresheet in the 39th minute, making it 3-0 before the halftime whistle.
Cagri Giritlioglu extended the visitors’ advantage in the 79th minute, sealing a convincing win on Sunday afternoon. Yeni Malatyaspor managed a late consolation goal through Halil Ibrahim Atci in the 82nd minute.
Wriedt, who lasted only 46 minutes in the match, received a rating of 8.2 from sports website Football.com after the game.
Despite the victory, Sanliurfaspor remain in a relegation battle, sitting 17th on the league table with 33 points after 27 games in the ongoing season.
The 30-year-old forward has scored two goals and provided one assist in six appearances since joining from Manisa FK in January.
