Ghanaian forward Ernest Nuamah has explained his reasons for joining French league 1 side Olympique Lyon from Nordjaelland.
Nuamah, speaking to the club media, believes that his decision was to have ample time for development.
“I think it was the right choice and a lot of clubs were interested in me,” Nuamah said.
“There was a lot of discussions but what was important was the best move for me and I feel like this is the best move for me.
“I still want to develop as a player and continue playing. I feel like Lyon is the best move.”
The 19-year-old forward passed through the Right to Dream player developmental system before joining Nordjaelland in the Denmark top flight.
He scored five times and provided an assist in his last four game for Nordjaelland in Denmark in the 2023/24 season before joining Olympique Lyon in France.
