Former Hearts captain Fatawu Mohammed to join Karela United

Former Hearts of Oak captain, Fatawu Mohammed is on the verge of joining Ghana Premier League league club Karela United.

Mohammed had been a free agent in recent weeks after ending his 10-year marriage with the Phobians.

An unknown Egyptian side expressed interest in the right-back but the deal did not materialized, giving Karela the opportunity to negotiate for a move.

Discussions is believed to be at an advanced stage.

With Ghana’s second transfer window closing on Friday, the Nzema-based club are expected to announce the signing of Fatawu for the remainder of the season.
