Ex-Ghana U20 centre-back Yeboah Amankwah has been released by Belgian outfit Lommel SK following the end of the 2023/24 season.

The 24-year-old made 10 appearances in Belgium last term but will now be hoping for a fresh start elsewhere.

Amankwah is currently on trial with English League One side Reading as he looks to earn a contract ahead of the new campaign.

The former Manchester City academy player brings experience from both English and Belgian football, and his versatility in defence could appeal to the Royals.

A successful stint at Reading would mark a return to English football after his time with Rochdale and Accrington Stanley earlier in his career.
