Former Black Stars players pay respects at Raphael Dwamena’s funeral

In a display of camaraderie and respect, former Black Stars players Augustine Ahinful, Ibrahim Tanko, Sulley Muntari, Agyemang Badu, Haminu Draman, and Isaac Vorsah gathered to pay their heartfelt last respects to the late Raphael Dwamena.

Their presence at the funeral and burial service, held at the Adjiriganor Astro Turf in Accra, spoke volumes about the deep bonds formed on and off the field.

As they stood side by side, memories of shared victories and challenges resonated, creating a poignant tribute to a fallen comrade.

The former Ghana striker was pronounced dead on Saturday, November 11,2023 after collapsing on a football pitch during a League match in Albania.

The Egnatia player suffered a heart attack during a League match between Egnatia and Partizani.

The 28-year old ex-national star collapsed on the field in the 24th minute of the league game and passed away minutes later at the Kavaja hospital.

The former Red Bull Academy player represented Ghana 9 times and scored two goals.
