Former Black Stars midfielder, Afriyie Acquah, has made a move to Nepal by signing a short-term contract with FC Chitwan. The 31-year-old player completed his transfer to the Nepalese top-flight club on a free transfer after successfully passing his medical examination just three days ago.

Acquah had been without a club since his contract with Iraqi club Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya expired in July 2023. His journey has taken him to various footballing destinations, including stints at Al-Batin FC in the Saudi Pro League, Yeni Malatyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig, and earlier experiences with clubs like AC Parma, Torino, Empoli, Palermo, and Hoffenheim.

Throughout his career, Acquah has amassed a wealth of experience, playing in different leagues and competitions. His international career with Ghana is also noteworthy, with 42 caps for the national team since his debut in March 2012 in an international friendly against Chile.
