Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah set for coaching course

Former Black Stars captain and Hearts of Oak legend Stephen Appiah is set to undergo coaching course despite not interested in taking to coaching.

The former Juventus star has already registered for the coaching course and is set to start lessons soon insisting he is not going into mainstream coaching.

Appiah is also working out on his new Soccer Academy which he will use to harness young talents and has started managing some players both here in Ghana and abroad.

In an interview with CitiSports the iconic Stephen Appiah said “Even if I am not going to be a coach I think I must have the coaching certification because you never know what the future holds.”

Appiah, 35, is the first Black Stars captain to have qualified the team to her maiden World Cup in 2006.
