Former Asante Kotoko forward, Robert Eshun popularly known as Ebo Electric, has tragically passed away at the age of 49.
Reports indicate that he suffered a heart attack while driving to work in London on Monday morning.
Eshun’s legacy in Ghanaian football is notably tied to his iconic goal in the 1990 FA Cup final.
He was an integral part of Asante Kotoko’s African Championship squad and made significant contributions to the team’s success.
Eshun’s career took him from Asante Kotoko to Belgium, where he played for Turnhout, Tielen, and Lommel in the early 1990s.
The agile winger also ventured into the Turkish Super Lig, representing Gaziantep before later taking his talents to Malaysia, where he played for Sarawak.
