Forge FC coach Bobby Smyrniotis hails Nana Ampomah’s signing

Forge FC coach Bobby Smyrniotis has hailed the acquisition of Ghanaian winger Nana Ampomah.

The 28-year-old Ghanaian attacker has secured a multi-year contract to the Canadian Champions from German Bundesliga 2 outfit Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Reacting to the signing of the former Black Stars winger, the coach said, ”We are excited to have a player as experienced as Nana join the club,”

”He is an explosive attacker who has played and contributed across Europe’s top leagues and competitions. His presence on the pitch and ability to generate offence adds a unique dimension to our attack that will surely make an immediate impact.”

Ampomah is expected to play a huge role for the Hamilton-based club as they seek to make impact this campaign.

He will be available for selection in the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup.

Ampomah also played for Belgian side Waasland-Beveren.
