The Eliteserien’s fourth-place team, Bodo/Glimt, are on a great run of form in the Norwegian top flight. The Lightning have won back-to-back games and go into Saturday’s match with Jerv aiming for a third consecutive victory.
While Bodo/Glimt are battling for the Eliteserien title and are just eight points off of first-place Molde, Jerv are fighting relegation.

Jerv go into Eliteserien matchday No. 16 in 15th place. The Yellow and Blue are stuck in the automatic relegation places with two points separating them from the relegation playoffs. Jerv are on a two-match losing streak in the Eliteserien and go into this game as an underdog.
These teams have not met since 2017. That season saw Bodo/Glimt win home and away by a combined 8-1 score. Both games finished with over 3.5 goals scored.
Bodo/Glimt are on a fine run of form. They took 12 points from the last six games in the Eliteserien. Four of the last six games ended as wins as 13 goals were scored and seven were conceded.
There is an argument that the Bodo/Glimt’s Eliteserien title win and semifinal run in the Europe Conference League has left a hangover at the club. The Lightning are playing in Europe once more and it could be a distraction with Molde and Lillestrom playing so well.
Jerv took four points from the last 18 points on offer in the Eliteserien. The Yellow and Blue are struggling in the top flight after earning promotion last season. Jerv have conceded the third-most goals this term with 25 from 14 games.
The Yellow and Blue have scored the second-fewest goals with just 10 from 14 games. The good news for Jerv coach Arne Sandsto is that the team has a game in hand over 13th-place Haugesund in the race for safety.
Bodo/Glimt manager Kjetil Knutsen is in his fourth season at the club. He has done wonders with the team and could win another piece of silverware this season.
Amahl Pellegrino is the team’s top goalscorer with 10 goals in the league. The left winger came off the bench in midweek as Bodo/Glimt lost in the Champions League second qualifying round first leg to Linfield 1-0.
Pellegrino and striker Victor Boniface will be in line to start. Bonafice has scored four goals in three Champions League qualifiers this term.
Bodo/Glimt should ease to victory on Saturday with a 3-0 win against Jerv. The Lightning are playing well domestically and should claim a third straight win.
