A group of promising young Ghanaian footballers who stood out at a recent grassroots competition have departed Accra to chase their professional dreams in Europe.
The quintet – Edmund Asante, Emmanuel Appiah, Acheampong Hayford, Samuel Coffie, and Owusu Ansah Prince – earned their ticket abroad after impressive performances at the Great Corinthians Tournament held in May.
Their journey begins with trials at several European clubs, including Austrian Bundesliga side Sturm Graz and Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem, where they aim to secure professional contracts.
The trials represent a major step forward for the players, who have been closely monitored by scouts since their standout performances at the tournament.
All five are part of a growing wave of Ghanaian youth talent being discovered through locally organized competitions, which continue to serve as vital launchpads for future stars.
Their European adventure could mark the beginning of a life-changing chapter.
