FIFA U-20 WWC: Early camping is good for Black Princesses ahead of tourney – Ben Fokuo

The Black Princess have been in camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of excellence, Prampram as they continue with preparations for the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

The Princesses have been placed in Group D alongside, defending champions Japan, USA and Netherlands.

The FIFA U-20 World Cup is scheduled to kick off on 10th August 2022 in Costa Rica.

“We resumed camping on Sunday, but we had majority of the players coming on Monday since some were featuring in the Women’s FA cup finals,” coach Ben Fokuo told ghanafa.org.

“Everyone is responding well to training so far. We are still waiting for the foreign based players as we have only Jacqueline Owusu in camp at the moment.

“We are taking them through series of training and their fitness level is good because they were active at their club side. It is good to start camping early to get us ready for the World Cup,” he added.
