Black Maidens coach Baba Nuhu has set sights on beating Guinea to advance to the fourth round of the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
The Maidens will take on Guinea on Saturday, April 16 at the Stade Général Lansana Conté de Congo Conakry, Guinea with the reverse fixture scheduled for the Cape Coast stadium on April 30.
Baba Nuhu’s side advanced to this stage of the competition with a 4-0 aggregate win over Senegal last Month and hopes to replicate another success story in the third round.
Ahead of Saturday’s showdown at General Lansana Conté stadium, coach Baba Nuhu said as quoted by cafonline.com, “These days, women’s football is played everywhere and you cannot underrate any team.”
“We will work hard to improve on our missed chances and get things right.”
Ghana are chasing an African record seventh campaign at the global stage while Guinea are in search of their maiden appearance at the tournament and must pull off an upset against the Black Maidens to keep their hopes alive.
