The FIFA has initiated its 2025 Central Review of the Ghana Football Association.
The exercise is being conducted by EY Switzerland, the audit firm appointed for this year’s assessment.
FIFA assigns an independent auditor annually to examine the financial records of its member associations.
GFA officials recently held a preliminary meeting with the auditors to review the audit plan before submitting the required documents.
The audit team is expected in Ghana in the coming days to begin the on-site review.
The process will examine the Association’s financial activities from January 1 to December 31, 2025, in line with FIFA’s financial calendar.
Member associations are required to submit their financial reports by the end of the first quarter each year.
Failure to meet these deadlines may attract financial sanctions from the global body.
The GFA has already submitted reports, including details on the use of FIFA Forward Funds received within the period.
Since football resumed after the normalisation phase, the Association has successfully passed six consecutive FIFA audits from 2019 to 2024.
