The head of sports at FC Zurich, Marinko Jurendic has expressed his delight following the acquisition of Daniel Barnieh Afriyie from Ghana Premier League side, Accra Hearts of Oak.
The 21 year old forward penned a three-year deal that will keep him at the Swiss Super League until 2026.
“Daniel Afriyie is a dynamic and versatile attacking player who has a courageous style of play. He should take the next step in development at FCZ and give our game further opportunities forward” the FC Zurich chief noted after the club announced the deal on Tuesday.
The highly-rated attacker is currently set to play for Ghana at the 2023 CHAN tournament in Algeria.
He will subsequently join his FC Zurich teammates to begin the new chapter of his career.
