FC Utrecht sign Ghanaian teen sensation Nana Gyamfi-Amoah on a two-year deal

Dutch Eredivisie side FC Utrecht have confirmed the signing of promising Ghanaian teenager Nana Gyamfi-Amoah for an undisclosed fee.

Amoah penned a two-year contract, set to commence in 2026 when the he turns 18.

The 17-year-old striker, currently with Ghanaian lower-tier outfit Accra Shooting Stars FC, will officially join the Dutch top-flight club subject to a successful residence permit application.

“FC Utrecht has reached an agreement with Ghanaian striker Nana Gyamfi-Amoah. The talented player will join FC Utrecht in 2026, once he reaches the age of 18 and subject to his residence permit. From then on, the striker will be on a two-year contract in Utrecht, until mid-2028,” the club said in an official statement.

Gyamfi-Amoah has attracted interest from several European clubs after successful trial stints with the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Red Bull Salzburg.

FC Utrecht moved swiftly to secure his signature, fending off potential suitors by finalizing an early agreement.

The youngster has been part of the Accra Shooting Stars development system since age 12 and currently competes in Ghana’s third-tier league. He previously featured for Ghana’s U15 national team and has recently earned a spot in the newly formed Ghana U18 setup, highlighting his steady rise through the youth ranks.
