On Sunday afternoon, Sudtirol and Ternana clash in Serie B, with both teams looking to consolidate their positions in the league’s play-off spots.
The home team currently occupy the last promotion play-off spot in Serie B, which would see them qualify for the quarter-finals of the play-offs. However, they are level on points with Pisa.
A recent six-game winless run has seen Sudtirol slip down the Serie B table. They drew five straight league games before a 2-0 defeat at Genoa in their last league outing. The visitors currently sit in fifth place in the Serie B table, also a spot that would be good enough to earn them a place in the quarter-final of the promotion play-offs.
However, Ternana could have been in a far better position in the standings if it wasn’t for a poor recent run of league form.
A 1-0 win over Cagliari last time out ended a six-game winless run for the visitors in Serie B.
Aurelio Andreazzoli’s team have been poor on their travels, as they are currently on a three-game winless run away from home in the league, having suffered back-to-back away defeats in the Italian second tier.
