FC Samartex have secured the services of Golden Kick FC captain Roland Grippman in a major boost to their backline ahead of the new season.
The highly-rated 22-year-old centre-back attracted interest from several top-flight sides after an outstanding campaign in Division One, but has now opted for the Timber Giants. Contract details remain undisclosed.
Grippman made 36 appearances across competitions last season, earning plaudits for his aerial prowess, calmness on the ball, and leadership qualities.
His move marks a big step for Golden Kick FC, who continue to groom talent for the Ghana Premier League.
Samartex, who finished in the top half last season, see Grippman as a key piece in their defensive rebuild and have already added Sabi Acquah Ferdinand, Abdul Latif, and Augustine Kofi Ofori to their ranks.
