FC Samartex kicked off their Ghana Premier League title defense with a 0-0 draw against Dreams FC.

Despite impressive performances from both teams, neither side was able to find the back of the net in either half.

The game took a dramatic turn in the 75th minute when Dreams FC’s Collins Boah was sent off for a dangerous tackle on a Samartex player, leaving his team with ten men.

In the 82nd minute, a corner kick led to a scoring opportunity for Samartex’s Baba Hamadu Musah, but the referee controversially ruled out the goal.

Ultimately, both teams settled for a point apiece after match day one fixture of the Ghana Premier League 2024/2025.
