FC Basel eyeing Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Pappoe for potential Swiss Super League transfer

FC Basel has set its sights on Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Pappoe, following his impressive performance in the Challenge League with FC Aarau.

The 20-year-old talent has caught the attention of the Swiss Super League club, raising the possibility of him wearing the FC Basel jersey in the near future.

Pappoe, who spent the season on loan at FC Aarau, contributed significantly to their campaign with one goal and five assists in his 25 appearances.

The young central midfielder’s contract is due to expire in June, but Aarau holds an option to secure his services permanently from his parent club, FC Ashdod of Israel.

However, Pappoe’s future may unfold in the Swiss Super League, as FC Basel and Servette Geneva are both reported to be fighting for his signature.

If he joins FC Basel, Pappoe would be reunited with fellow Ghanaian teammates Jonas Adjetey and Emmanuel Essiam, further strengthening the club’s Ghanaian contingent.
