Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey has opened up about life off the pitch, revealing that fatherhood has become his most cherished and time-consuming role outside football.
In a candid Q&A session with The Footy Culture, Partey said he spends most of his free time caring for his daughter, Alaia. “Taking care of my daughter,” he responded when asked how he relaxes away from football. “It’s a full-time job,” he added with a smile, highlighting how much being a present father means to him.
Partey and his partner, Janine Mackson, quietly welcomed Alaia last year after keeping their relationship largely out of the public eye. Reports suggest the couple had been together for several months before tying the knot in a private ceremony.

Beyond fatherhood, the Arsenal midfielder also touched on some career highlights. He named former Atlético Madrid teammate Radamel Falcao as the best player he’s played alongside and admitted facing Barcelona legends Lionel Messi, Xavi, and Iniesta was among the toughest challenges of his career.
Asked what he might be doing if football hadn’t worked out, Partey shared that he would’ve likely pursued a path in painting.
Now in top form for Arsenal, the Black Stars anchorman has featured in over 40 matches this season, continuing to play a key role for both club and country.
