Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored a spectacular long-range strike to hand Leicester City a vital 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic in the Championship.
The 20-year-old, returning from an ACL injury suffered in Ghana’s AFCON qualifier against Angola last November, broke the deadlock in the 48th minute. Picking up a pass from Boubacar Soumare, Issahaku cut inside from the right and unleashed a thunderbolt into the top corner.
It was his first goal of the season and capped an impressive display in which he played 83 minutes, completing 15 passes and winning six duels.
The victory marked Leicester’s second in three league outings, easing pressure after back-to-back defeats.
