Manchester United and Liverpool played out their first game of pre-season on Tuesday afternoon.
The clash, somewhat surprisingly, saw Liverpool trounced by their bitter rivals by a scoreline of 4-0.
Jadon Sancho opened the scoring 12 minutes in, with Fred, Anthony Martial and Facundo Pellistri adding the remaining three goals.
One of Liverpool’s best chances on the day came after 87 minutes and fell to their new signing, Darwin Nunez.
Mohamed Salah hit the Manchester United post from the edge of the box, with the ball then falling to Nunez who had an open goal to aim at.
However, the hitman, who will be the Premier League’s 4th-most expensive player once add-ons are met, went on the sky his shot.
