Hearts of Oak have defended the MTN FA Cup trophy after beating Bechem United 2-1 in the final at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The Phobians. who lost four consecutive matches, put up a spirited performance to return to winning ways against the Hunters.
Samuel Boadu’s side had to do that in a difficult circumstance as Emmanuel Avornyo struck to put Bechem ahead in the 45th minute.
On the stroke of halftime, Caleb Amankwah produced a stunning volley to restore parity.
Twenty minutes into the second half, Hearts completed the comeback thanks to a strike from their forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.
The situation went from bad to worse for the 2016 champions as their talisman, Augustine Okrah was sent off after heading a linesman on the nose.
The triumph means Hearts have won the competition back-to-back for the first time in 20 years.
They will represent Ghana in next year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
