Augustine Arhinful is urging Chris Hughton to extend invitations to Alfred Duncan and Jeffrey Schlupp to the Black Stars.
The former Ghana International has joined the chorus advocating for the return of Duncan and Schlupp to the national team, emphasizing that the current Black Stars squad would benefit greatly from their services.
Duncan officially announced his retirement in May 2022, while Schlupp has not featured in the national team since being excluded before the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
In an interview on Happy FM, Arhinful emphasized the significance of including these two players in the Black Stars squad.
“The Black Stars lack consistency, and when you are building a national team with that issue, there is a big problem.”
“Chris Hughton is disappointing me because he has been with the team for a while.”
“If we have all these players who have also played for the national team, try to bring them back. Then we have a problem.” He added.
