Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila has threatened to leave financially stricken Kuwaiti side Al Qadsia SC and report them to FIFA if his salaries are not paid.
GHANASoccernet.com understands the centre-back has not been paid for months and that has caused great disaffection.
Two other African players Seydouba Soumah (Guinea) and Doris Fuakuputu (DR Congo) also want to terminate their contracts.
But the club’s assistant secretary Hassan Boualhassan has pleaded with the coaching staff and players not to embark on strike ahead of subsequent matches.
He has made a personal appeal to the club’s board to intervene and prevent the club from going into administration.
Sumaila joined Al Qadsia two seasons on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns and impressed hugely which earned him a permanent deal.
