Ghana midfielder Yusif Alhassan Chibsah has signed for Turkish second-tier  Alanyaspor  from Swedish top-flight side Djurgarden IF, Africanfootball.com has exclusively reported.

The 30-year-old leaves the Allsvenskan league after spending seven years in the Scandinavian country.

He first moved to Gefle IF in 2007 where he played for four seasons before moving to Djurgarden IF in 2012.

Chibsah’s will play his last match for the Blue Stripes on Monday against Manchester City in a pre-season contest for the English champions.

“He has done a great job in DIF on and off the pitch and we wish him good luck. We feel we have other players who can cover up his position,” Djurgarden sports director Bosse Andersson said.

“He has been in Sweden for a long time and will now have a chance to get away for retirement. We have had discussions about his future and when this opportunity came up, we think he was well worth it. We agree and thank him for his effort in Djurgarden.”

Chibsah made a total of 57 league appearances for Djurgarden.
