Ex-WAFA player Lawrence Agyekum suffers defeat to Benfica in UEFA Youth League final —

Ex-WAFA midfielder Lawrence Agyekum was in action for Austrian side RB Salzburg in the UEFA Youth League final as they slipped to a 6-0 defeat at the hands of Portuguese SL Benfica.

The 18-year-old midfielder started the game and lasted the entire period of the game as they were mauled by the Portuguese side.

Midfielder Martim Neto raced the Portuguese side into an early lead in the 2nd minute as Pereira Araujo scored a hat-trick to seal the victory for his side.

Agyekum featured for WAFA last season in the Ghana Premier League and switched to the Austrian side at the start of this season.
