Ex-Kotoko coach Ernst Middendorp linked to vacant Hearts of Oak coaching job – Reports

German coach, Ernst Middendorp has been linked to the vacant Hearts of Oak coaching job, the local media have reported.

The Ghana Premier League powerhouse are currently in a search of a new trainer after parting ways with Samuel Boadu.

The former Medeama SC boss left the club last month following the club’s unimpressive performances in recent months.

David Ocloo however has been named as the assistant coach for the side.

However, Middendrop, who is a former Asante Kotoko coach has been linked to the vacant job at Hearts of Oak.

Middendorp is not new to the Ghanaian terrain having previously coached both Hearts and Kotoko.

He was with Kotoko between 1999 and 2002 and Hearts in 2004.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak suffered a 3-0 defeat against ASR Bamako in the second round of the CAF Confederations Cup in Mali on Saturday.

The Phobians will host the Malian side at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in the return leg.
